JUST TO LIVE BY BRIJKAUL

From nowhere to somewhere

somewhere to nowhere

I drift alone miles and miles

among dusky deep woods

Just to live

and

Just to live

The evening flirting sinking beautiful

Sun

I see water forming

Ripples of crimson gold

Under the bridge of placid river.

From nowhere to somewhere

Somewhere to nowhere

Ascending the mountain cliff

breathing a whiff

o f fresh air

I amble around

Just to live

and

just to live.

The Sun

gone somewhat peacefully

leaving   the twilight

Anointing earth in its golden glare

Before

Slipping in a peaceful night .

I paddle on

on and on

From nowhere to somewhere

somewhere to nowhere

Just to live

and

Just to live.

I drift alone as in a dream

with brightly gleam

enchanting rhymes

of

 Fearful trying Times

I stride along

From nowhere to somewhere

Somewhere to nowhere

Just to live

and

Just to live.

  1. The poem doesn’t tell that the poet is Forced to live but Enjoys every moment of life with All its predicaments & fears ,ups & downs . The life is full of colour , beauty & bounty & is ENJOYABLE till cows come Home . The MUSE & music of life is so intoxicating that one doesn’t have the courage to bid it farewell…!!!

  2. I find this poem more relevant in this pandemic times. In this uncertain times it’s so difficult to survive surrounded by stress insecurity but after reading these verses I somehow know what I have to do.
From somewhere to nowhere and from nowhere to somewhere we are born to live so let’s make this journey memorable . Beautiful
