Trump Donald and his coterie were taken aback by the swift rapid move of House Speaker Nancy Pelosis towards impeachment inquiry of President Trump.
President Trump is best being described as egomaniac—egocentric ,would like to see everything revolving around him.
“Let me tell you, the one that matters is me,” Trump said in an interview that aired on Fox News in November 2017. “I’m the only one that matters.”
That hubris finally caught up with Trump this week when in his nonchalant style he authorized to release the transcript of his july call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, that implies in clear terms ,the effort by an American President to pressuarise a foreign leader to look into corruption allegations against a potential 2020 opponent candidate former vice president Joe Bidden ,and his son,Hunter.
The transcript sent shock waves across the political spectre of America, forcing the Republicans to keep almost in hiding to avoid controversial statements, whereas the Democrats were emboldened to stick to their announcement of plans to conduct formal impeachment inquiry against the President Trump.
however on Tuesday following House speaker Nancy Pelosisi’s announcement holding impeachment inquiry, the decision spurred number of questions among Americans across the country about the process and whether Trump could get run for re-election etc.
“The facts changed the situation and they cannot be ignored,” Pelosi said Friday during the interview. “We weigh the equities—I never thought he was worth it.”
The American Constitution says impeachment can happen for these reasons:“The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.””
But the Constitution experts left it open for lawmakers to decide in the moment how to define that. Which means Congress can define “high crimes and misdemeanors” however it wants, and it doesn’t have to be an actual crime. I think it’s important to remember impeachment is a political process, not a criminal one. , It’s also the only way to punish a president, given there’s a decades-old legal theory that a sitting president can’t be indicted.
According to CNN’S NEW NATIONAL POLL,is that more and more people are for impeachment of Donald Trump roughly 49% believe that Democrates are rightly pursuing impeachment because they think Trump has crossed the line.
However 43% Americans believe REPUBLICAN opposition to Trump’s impeachment is not based on genuine belief that he did nothing untoward to justify impeachment.
On impeachment On Monday, Mr. Trump reacted aggressively to the scrutiny around his dealings with Ukraine. He went to the extent warning that his removal could spark “civil war.”
The House Democrats issued a subpoena demanding Mr Trump’s private lawyer produce documents ,communications and other records. The whistle-blower is expected also to testify possibly behind the closed doors .
Trump in his conversations with the reporters at the United Nations admitted withholding nearly $400million in aid to Ukraine to fight corruption and urge the European Nations like France and Germany specially to “put up money” in aid to Ukraine.
The matter being part of whistleblower complaint ,democrats demanding more information on the subject that could help their inquiry of impeachment against Trump.
Trump is in agitative mood as every data point towards his downfall.
Trump is trying his best to change the current narrative engrossing his impeachment inquiry through his tweets. let us watch intently the fate of this big wig in the days to come.
