Pakistan’s act of beheading Paramjit Singh of Indian ARMY and Prem Sagar of the Border Security Force is barbaric one, hence unpardonable and punishable .
The Defece Minister Arun jaitely has rightly said India will give “appropriate response”.And India must act adequately to teach a lesson to Pakistan for good. We need not to be complacent or show any kind of vacillation on such occasions but act to maintain the high morale of our Soldiers.
The unrest in Kashmir has been on the upswing since last year and has not signs of any restraint.Infact it has been worsening day in and day out. The NDA government has to formulate a realistic policy towards Kashmir and retract from its beaten one to augur for a new peaceful era in Kashmir history.
Pakistan is playing up the volatile situation in Kashmir to its advantage by creating unrest through its mercenaries with impunity. Violations have increased manifold since our “surgical strike”in September 2016.This attack was done as detterant to thwart any untoward ceasefire violations.
But Pakistan escalated the LOC violations post the “surgical strike” rather than reducing the same. India lost 60solidiers until Dec 2016, nearly twice the nos of 2014 and 2015.
No doubt the Security forces are killing more terrorists but also losing more of soldiers than ever. Peace cannot be brought through the barrel of a gun but through effective sincere meaningful dialogue to make the erring party understand the logic of living in peace essential for the people of the valley.
In a bid to do something different than its predecessor, without understanding the consequences thereby, the NDA government has put itself in complete quandary leading to a situation of no return.
The Centre Govt needs to form a group of MPs and in association with Local political parties start the process of dialogue with stakeholders of the valley, to bring some semblance in the current situation.
Currently India’s diplomacy is at its low ebb with Pakistan ,the Sheriff Nawaz government weakest one ,and Sharif himself being in the throes of corruption under scrutiny of Pakistan Supreme court’s investigation ,bettering the ties between two countries has taken least and last priority
They have violated the international law of Geneva Convention 1949 by mutilating the bodies of our soldiers. Mutilation of bodies is prohibited and a declared crime under International law. We need to take steps in cognizance of this Law and make a case against Pakistan .This should at least put pressure on Pakistan and force to change its belligerent tack.
The Govt is facing a strong clamour for a strong action to respond to the treatment meted out to the Indian Security personnel by the Pakistan Army.
In such a tricky situation the Govt should make a decision keeping country interests upper most rather than succumbing to vicious demands.
